Women's Cancer Care

The Singapore Ministry of Health rates Cancer as the Number 2 cause of Hospitalization.  The Singapore Cancer Society reports " the number of women diagnosed with breast cancer is increasing at an average of 3% annually. Women of all age groups are affected but it's more common in women above 40 years old. The incidence rate of breast cancer in Singapore is about one-third of that of American Women and half that of European women. It is estimated that an American woman has a 12% chance of developing breast cancer in her lifetime."

Given these alarming statistics, it's important to know that most medical plans, including those provided by employers, offer inadequate limits (approx $10,000) for Critical Illness and Cancer. With long-term treatment easily exceeding $50,000, the cost of battling cancer can quickly exhaust your limits and leave you financially responsible for large healthcare bills.

To fill this significant gap in your medical coverage, Expat Insurance offers a Women's Cancer Insurance product designed to pay a one-time lump sum benefit of up to $80,000 upon first diagnosis of a covered female cancer, including diagnosis of Carcinoma-in-situ. The policy also covers reimbursement of actual inpatient hospital medical expenses of up to $8,000, in addition to the coverage provided by your existing comprehensive medical plan.

As early detection of cancer is important, the plan also offers reimbursement of up to $100 each year to encourage women to go for their Annual Female Physical Examination.

Premiums for Women's Cancer Insurance are very affordable (e.g. a 35 year old woman can buy a policy with a $50,000 lump sum benefit for $266 per year).
