Work Injury Compensation ( WICA )

Employers are legally liable to provide compensation to workers and their dependants for personal injury and death due to accidents within the course of employment. Liability arises from both the Work Injury Compensation Act (WICA) and Common Law. Work Injury Compensation policies cover the employer for such liabilities.  This insurance is compulsory as per Section 23 of the Workmen’s Compensation Act 1975, in Singapore.
